Make your email strategy Facebook-friendly

With the younger generation using online social networking and texting more than web-based emails for communicating, marketers need to adjust their strategies.

In a previous article, I raised the question of whether email was facing extinction due to the different communication behaviors of teenagers and young adults. Today's Generation Y, or iGen, members simply don't use email as often or as much to communicate as do older people; try sending an email to anyone under 22 and see if you get a quick response (or ANY response).
